A bath ritual system
SLATE is a modular bath ritual system. Every block is made from carefully chosen, cosmetic-grade ingredients. Combine them to build your Grid™ and give it a purpose: a scent for the mood, or a texture for your skin.

Twenty-seven blocks, one soak
Your day was never one thing. Your bath does not have to be either. A Grid™ is composed, not bought. Every block in it is a decision about tonight.
Start with the outcome
Choose by how you want to feel, or by what you want in the water. Lavender to wind down, kaolin clay for the skin. Every position in the Grid™ is yours to set.
Mix scent and texture
Pair scent blocks with texture blocks around what you need: a scent for the mind, a texture for the skin.
Tune the harmony
Decide how strongly you want to feel each part. Repeat a block to bring it forward, use fewer to let it sit back. Balance scent and texture until it feels right for you.

What goes in and why?
Every block is a short list of considered ingredients, sourced from specialist bath and cosmetic suppliers. Nothing in here without a reason. Nothing we cannot explain.
Cosmetic grade throughout
Every ingredient is cosmetic grade, from specialist UK bath and cosmetic suppliers.
Measured, not guessed
Each block follows an exact formula: 10% Epsom salt, 3% kaolin clay and cold pressed sweet almond oil in every one.
Real botanical oils
Most of our scents are made from essential oils and absolutes: lavender, vetiver, neroli, frankincense and more.
Independently assessed
Every recipe has a Cosmetic Product Safety Report from an independent safety assessor, and is made in small batches in the UK.
Allergy note: Every block contains sweet almond oil (tree nut). Not suitable for anyone with a nut allergy.

SLSA is not SLS. It is coconut derived and chosen for bath use specifically.

The foundation of the block. Softens the water, carries the fizz, gentle on skin.
Reacts with the base the moment it hits water. That reaction is the fizz. Balances pH gently as it goes.
Magnesium sulphate. Adds mineral weight to the water, so the bath feels fuller.
A plant starch that helps the block press cleanly at sharp corners and leaves skin feeling silky.
Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, not SLS. Coconut derived. A soft lather on the water.
Food grade acid salt from winemaking. Holds the block's shape and slows the fizz, so the release lasts longer.
Gentle white clay. Lifts oil from the surface of the skin.
Cold pressed sweet almond oil, in every block. Conditions skin and carries the fragrance evenly through the water. It is a nut oil, so please avoid SLATE if you have a tree nut allergy.
In every block, so oils disperse through the water instead of floating on it. Without it you get a ring around the bath.
Ultramarine blue, iron oxides and titanium dioxide, used at a trace. Colour only, with no fragrance and no residue left in the bath.
How it arrives
Two paper parts. Nothing to separate before recycling.
Please recycle the box. Box and wrap both go in your paper recycling.
